My 21st Birthday

So this thursday I turn 21, and while I am excited to be able to legally drink (keyword legally), I don’t seem excited as most of my friends about this momentous occasion. Yes, I do plan on drinking on my birthday, that seems to be a good tradition as any to keep up. But I don’t plan to visit bars every friday night with friends and coworkers. Its just so …. expensive. I can get water for free with meals, soda is cheaper, milk and orange juice are healthier. I just don’t see the allure as most people do.

Jim Cramer Declares Recession Over

Now I would love as much as the next person to have this depression be over, but Jim Cramer declaring this is over does not bestow confidence in me. Anyone whose watched Jon Stewart will know what I’m talking about.

While the stock market seems to be doing great, we have to remember that the stock market is based on how people value these companies. When people buy stocks the value tends to go up. We could be in a really long bull market for all we know. When the first quarter data is released by companies, then we will get a much better idea on how the market is doing.

Rachel Maddow

After watching Rachel Maddow, I’ve decided that she is awesome. She is a great journalist that actually asks good questions and doesn’t seem like ass who just wants to ask questions to get the opposition to look bad.

I figure that if I am ever a big leader in politics and I’m too afraid to go on the Rachel Maddow show, then I’ve know that I’ve gone corrupt. If a politician is afraid to go on a show of the opposite party or even someone who is considered fair, then you know they have to be crooked.

Dating

So first off I want to say that I’m writing this from an iPod touch. Using an app, it kind of awesome.
What I really wanted to talk about is how of sucks how when you just started dating someone, someone else proclaims their interest in you. Now being the nice guy that I am don’t want to end the new relationship even though the girl now telling me she like me was a girl I had a crush on years ago. It’s has if these girls can sense the new found confidence that I have from the relationship and have decided that I’m now a catch.

Job Searching

I hate looking for jobs, especially in this sort of economy. First I always feel bad about leaving the people I work to go somewhere else, almost as if its a snub in their face saying “oh yeah, I don’t like working with you anymore, so I quit.” When in reality thats not it. At least not for me. I love the people I work with, they are probably the reason that I stay at a job longer than usual. Then there is the whole process of looking and the feeling I get whenever I get a job interview, and if I get shot down. Cause that always feels nice.

I just want to work somewhere where I can get some real experience in managing and leading. I want to better myself. I’ve grown too complacent over the years as to where I am.
